Swim lessons are offered to children aged three years and older, if the child is three years old on or before June 1, 2023 and the child is enrolled for the summer session at Towne Creek.
Lessons are taught by a RED CROSS Certified Water Safety Instructor. There is always an additional lifeguard in the pool, depending on the age and number of children taking lessons.
We are offering five, two-week sessions this summer. Pool safety and new skills are taught and refined Monday through Thursday of each week. Students are guaranteed 8 swim lessons per session. Fridays are reserved for make-up days, due to rain or a class field trip. If there is no need for this make-up day, the children will work with their instructor to enhance, refine, and enjoy the skills that they have worked on during the session.
On the first day of each session, your child’s swim skills will be evaluated by the instructor. Children at similar skill levels will be grouped together for the rest of the session. Their lesson time for the session will be given to you at the end of the first day. You will receive an assessment of your child’s skills at the end of each session.
What to bring/wear:
Please have your child wear their swimsuit to school on their lesson days. You may want to bring an extra swimsuit if your child has splash day or free swim scheduled that day. Be sure to apply sunscreen before school and bring a towel and water shoes. Goggles, swim caps, nose plugs, and ear plugs are optional.

Registration for swim lessons is now open for current families. New and returning students may register starting on April 3, 2023. Registration forms are available HERE.
Payment for each session is due at the time of registration. Please keep in mind that spaces are limited and enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Once a class is full, it will be closed, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please note: Swim session payments are non-refundable unless we can fill the space you would like to vacate.
*Should a field trip and swim lesson time conflict, we will try, if possible, to reschedule your child’s lesson to an earlier time that day. This will avoid having to make up a lesson. You will receive a notice in your child’s folder if his/her swim lesson time has been changed.
