The Afterschool Program at The Towne Creek School provides a safe and enriching environment for children through kindergarten through seventh grade. Children are encouraged to participate in new experiences while working on team-building, self-esteem, independence, confidence, friendship, and leadership. We strive to meet the children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs via multiple options they choose daily. You can be assured, at The Towne Creek School, there is always something for everyone!

Fort Bend ISD In-service Days / Holidays / Early Dismissal
Fort Bend ISD has several closures throughout the school year, including staff development days, holidays, and early dismissals. Fortunately for us, we have the opportunity to share this time with our afterschool students. There are no additional fees required for these days unless a field trip is planned. Often we plan a special event, such as Towne Creek Olympics, Lock-UP, Gross Factor, Spy Hard, Doggy Dog World, Pajama Day, and the list goes on.
Field Trips / Community / Environment
Our program is enhanced by various age-appropriate field trips planned with the children’s interests in mind. These field trips are designed when the children are with us for the entire day. Some past trips have included Laser Zone, Bowling, Star Cinema, and ice skating. In addition, we provide opportunities for the students to participate in community and environmental service projects.
AFTERSCHOOL AWESOME OPTIONS
Our program is jam-packed with OPTIONS catering to the varied interests of our students. By offering 3 or 4 options daily, we can keep the children’s curiosity alive. Some of the options may include, yet are not limited to, the following:
Study Hall
We assist the children with their homework and studying and encourage children to enjoy quiet activities such as reading in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. This is the only option that is offered daily except for Fridays.
Imaginations
From the free drawing of the most abstract pictures to the backdrop creations for an upcoming afterschool performance, our creators will be learning various art techniques and utilizing a wide range of art media. Teachers will challenge them in painting, crafts, cartooning, and other artistic media.
Sports Center
Are you ready for some football? Do you want to be taken out to the baseball game? Answer these questions by participating in this option. Whether your child participates in Scatterball, kickball, hockey, or more, remember that sportsmanship is most important in learning how to lose, win and be part of a team.
Screen Savers
For those who like the spotlight, having a chance to be on television will be just the ticket. We have filmed some of the most memorable commercials ever!
Kitchen Kraziness
Find out how important it is to use the right ingredients and amounts when creating a recipe. Hopefully, the brownies, cookies, pizza, donuts, grasshoppers, and other goodies are yummy! We will make healthy foods and keep a nutrition charge and recipe book throughout the year.
Challenge
This option is designed to promote cooperation. Despite age, size, gender, strength, and other attributes that may be different, Challenge creates an environment in which everyone is needed to accomplish a goal.
Kid Fit
Stay in shape and release built-up energy by skipping rope, trying step aerobics, or participating in basic yet lightweight training. Feel the burn and feel good about it.
Mad Scientists
We don’t always know why things happen the way they do, but it is fun trying to figure it out! We’ll build volcanoes, make flubber, plant flowers and create bottle tornadoes and continuously investigate the wonders of science.
Improv
It’s great to be you, but it can be exhilarating to be someone else! Whether you are the hero or the villain, you are acting! There can never be too much drama when choosing this option!
Log On
The students will become more familiar with Microsoft software such as Word, PowerPoint, or Excel and Mac Software from the iLife series (depending on age and ability).
Game Room
Air Hockey, Foosball, Ping Pong and some video game systems are among the main attractions of our game room. But never underestimate the fun that can be had playing a board game with your friends.
Wall of Fame
Here is your chance to leave your legacy at Towne Creek. You could be the fastest student ever to ride a tricycle fifty feet or hold the record for the most ping pong games won in a row. Perhaps you will become the jump rope champion or part of a group that placed the most children in a hula hoop. Towne Creek may recognize you for helping a friend in need or welcoming a new student. Everyone has the opportunity to be recognized on the Wall of Fame.
