The Afterschool Program at The Towne Creek School provides a safe and enriching environment for children in Kindergarten through Seventh Grade. Children are encouraged to participate in new experiences while working on skills such as team-building, self-esteem, independence, confidence, friendship, and leadership. We strive to meet the children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs via multiple options from which they choose on a daily basis. You can be assured, at The Towne Creek School, there is always something for everyone!
Fort Bend ISD has several closures throughout the school year including staff development days, holidays and early dismissals. Fortunately for us, we have the opportunity to share this time with our afterschool students. Often we plan a special event, such as: Towne Creek Olympics, Doggy Dog World, Pajama Day, and the list goes on…
Our program is enhanced by a variety of age appropriate field trips planned with the interest of the children in mind. These field trips are planned when the children are with us for the full day. Our students also participate in community and environmental service projects.
Our program is jam-packed with OPTIONS catering to the varied interests of our students. By offering 3 or 4 options on a daily basis, we are able to keep the children’s curiosity alive.
We not only assist the children with their homework and studying, but also encourage children to enjoy quiet activities such as reading in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. This is the only option that is offered daily except for Fridays.
The children will be offered a choice of activities among the following options:
art, outdoor sports, indoor sport activity in the gym, Towne Creek Live (children video newscasts, commercials, etc), fun science, cooking, drama, computer, challenge (mind games), game room.

Students will be able to utilize skills in writing, interviewing, photography and computer in publishing the Afterschool newsletter. How proud they will be when they see their hard work come to fruition!
The Wall of Fame is our way of recognizing a student, whether he/she is the fastest to ride a tricycle fifty feet, hold the record for the most ping pong games won consecutively, jump rope the greatest number of times without a mistake, or be a part of a group that placed the most children in a hoola hoop. A child could be recognized for participation, for helping a friend in need, for welcoming a new student, for helping a younger student in an activity, for helping to resolve a conflict. Each child has the opportunity to have a place on the Wall of Fame.
